A team from YMCA Norfolk competed in dodgeball, ultimate Frisbee, curling and archery as part of the Fit 4 Work Corporate Games at the UEA Sportspark in Norwich on June 10.

Fit 4 Work is a project run by Active Norfolk that aims to get employees across the county more active before, during and after work.

The Corporate Games are a chance for staff to compete in sporting challenges against other local organisations and businesses. It is a great team building activity as well as a chance to network with other organisations and raise your own profile.

YMCA Norfolk entered a team for the first time and took part in archery, curling, golf, indoor cycling, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, dodgeball, netball, tag rugby and athletics with a team which included Amanda Timby, Laura Patton, David Stone and Jess Tyson.

Jess Tyson, Health and Well-being Development Worker for YMCA Norfolk, said: “It was a jam-packed day of sports which left us exhausted but we had great fun being part of a YMCA team taking on others at unusual sports such as dodgeball and ultimate frisbee. The highlight was beating the police team at curling!”

Overall winners of the Corporate Games were the Norfolk Police Hot Fuzz team.
