Right Royal celebration for YMCA Norfolk residents

Residents at YMCA Central in Norwich celebrated the recent Royal Wedding in style along with the rest of the nation.

Young people from YMCA accommodation across Norwich enjoyed a day to remember at YMCA Central, opposite the city’s bus station.    The day, which was planned and organised by a committee of young people began with watching the Royal Wedding coverage and preparing cakes and goodies for a special tea.    YMCA resident Nikita Hemmant said “I loved the whole experience and I particularly loved Kate’s dress. “   By early afternoon the party had really started with a karoke competition, face painting and a balloon modelling expert along with a special ‘Royal’ tea.    Support worker Laura Pattern said: “It was a day the young people would not forget and they all worked extremely well together in organising such an excellent event.”   Kirk Doubleday, Nikita Hemmant and Joshua Liddle commented that: “It was a great day and fun for everyone to get together and celebrate something that was good for our country and it was a bonus that everyone got involved.” (Author: )
